What About QuickBooks Card Readers?

Someone wrote in asking about the different types of QuickBooks card readers for use with Payment Services. There are three different ones that are still being used, depending on which QuickBooks product(s) you might be using and what version.

QuickBooks Card Reader

Unknown Object

The QuickBooks Card Reader currently is the only mobile card reader available for purchase through Intuit sources. It has an LED display that allows you to pay, tip and transaction without sharing your mobile device.

The card reader accepts EMV chip cards and contactless payments such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.

The reader will connect via Bluetooth with the QuickBooks GoPayment App or the QuickBooks Online Mobile App. It also supports QuickBooks Desktop versions (newer than 2018) via the USB-C cable provided with the reader.

It recharges through a provided USB-C cable or a separately sold QuickBooks Power-stand.
