What's Extra about the 9/16 QBTalks?
I seem to get emails and feature comments every time we have an 'Extra' attached to one of our QBTalks or QBTalks-Apps sessions. I guess it's because we've only had a few of these since last year when we began offering them as a 'sponsorship' option.
I got the idea for an 'Extra' segment from that TV show that hypes they are "Extra, Extra, Extra". And it's just now that sponsors are recognizing the value of providing a 'topic focused' extra to the content being presented as the main topic of the QBTalks show.
In fact, the upcoming 'Extra' segment of our 2PM (Eastern) September 16, 2026, QBTalks show is a perfect example of what I mean.
In this case the main QBTalks program addresses migration from QuickBooks Desktop including the need to understand each client’s workflows, select the appropriate QuickBooks Online subscription, preparation and clean-up of the Desktop file, test migrations, best migration method selection, validating data using key reports, and providing post-migration training. Accordingly, the 'Extra' segment, sponsored by Qvinci, will complete rather than repeat the main presentation.
Qvinci will focus their 'Extra' segment on"not just migrating the client's books but using the migration from Desktop as an opportunity to modernize your client relationship and build a more profitable 'advisory' practice." Moving from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online should be a planned business transformation—not a last-minute software conversion.
During the 'Extra' segment, Qvinci's Brad Adams and Charles Nagel will explain why accounting firms should begin the migration process early, how to use the move to modernize client workflows, and how pairing QuickBooks Online with Qvinci can automate reporting and create scalable, higher-value advisory services. During the 'Extra' segment, participants will learn how Qvinci, an authorized QuickBooks Solution Provider, combines their Tier 1 customer support with Qvinci's Turnkey Advisor Program to give firms one accountable point of contact, from conversion through ongoing client success.
You will come to recognize Qvinci as more than a reporting and analytics solution, but rather as being your one-stop shop for QuickBooks subscriptions, migration, Intuit authorized QBO Tier-1 customer support, automated reporting, business intelligence and more. They can be your migration partner, single technology ecosystem, support team and one accountable point of contact to work with you and your clients. And that's a lot of 'Extra' that comes with this upcoming QBTalks.
As I said, the Qvinci segment will expand on our migration presentation, and that kind of expansion of concept is what an 'Extra' segment is all about.
And speaking of 'Extra', how about that extra .5 CPE credits you will receive when you attend all 90-minutes of the QBTalks-Extra show? That's right, when you attend all 90-minutes of the 2PM (Eastern) September 16, 2026, QBTalks-Extra show, and answer all four (4) of the CPE Polling Questions, you will qualify for 1.5 CPE. (Please note that you must attend a minimum of 75 of the 90 minutes, and that CPE Polling Question # 4 will be posed to the audience only after 75 minutes of the total show has lapsed.)
