ProAdvisor Recertification Starts Today

ProAdvisor Recertification is the annual process by which ProAdvisors maintain and demonstrate their knowledge of the innovations and enhancements made to the various QuickBooks product lines.

If you became or were recertified as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor before November 1, 2024, you must pass the recertification exam by the Recertification deadline, June 30 at 11:59 PM Pacific time.

This year’s ProAdvisor training and exam features updates to QuickBooks Online Accountant, Intuit Enterprise Suite, and Intuit Assist.

Preparing to Recertify

  • The new self-paced training modules went live today at 12 AM Pacific time. Access them via the ProAdvisor Academy. If you don’t need to recertify (because you earned certification after November 1, 2024), the 2025 Recertification won’t appear within your ProAdvisor Academy course and exam offerings.

You can take the modules and pass the course exam or opt to test-out and sit for the exam without going through the modules. In either case, you must pass the exam with 80% and have three attempts to pass it.

  • Intuit is hosting a Virtual-conference on May 14 at 9 AM Pacific time. You can register HERE for that event to help prepare you for Recertification.
  • This year, there is also a bi-weekly Recertification webinar; you can register for one or more of those webinars HERE.

Many ProAdvisors write in with the same question year after year. This year, Intuit published the answer, which we are reproducing below exactly as it was published.

What if I passed the Level 2, (formerly Advanced) Certification on or after November 1, 2024? Do I need to recertify this year?

The recertification requirements are based on your highest level of certification, so if you completed QuickBooks Online Level 1 prior to November 2024, and QuickBooks Online Level 2 after November 2024, you are set until the next recertification season in 2026!

Lastly, Intuit is holding a sweepstakes whereby you can win a $250 Visa Gift Card just for completing your Recertification between April 28 and June 30. A winner will be announced weekly, and you can read the official rules HERE.
