Next Month's QB Talks is about Prepping for Scaling New Heights

The 2025 Scaling New Heights conference is being held June 22 through 25, 2025 in Orlando at the Marriott World Center, the world's biggest Marriott facility, and Insightful Accountant will be there to recognize the 2025 ProAdvisor Award recipients formally. 

This year's conference theme is "Make It So", themed on the Star Trek television and movie productions.  Last year's theme was "Boldly Go," adapted from the Original Star Trek series... "Boldly Go Where No Man Has Ever Gone Before!" Starship Enterprise Captain, Jean-Luc Picard of Star Trek: The Next Generation, used "Make It So" as his way of directing his subordinates to pursue a specific course. 

After several years of conferences addressing disruptions and opportunities affecting our profession, it appears that the Woodard Group has developed a conference centered on specific courses for accountants, bookkeepers, and consultants to prepare for the 'next generation' of accounting, with a significant focus on Artificial Intelligence. And how appropriate is that? I mean, whenever the Captain or First Officer in Star Trek had questions or doubts, they would ask "Computer.... what should I do about this situation?"  My question to you is... "Was the computer offering suggestions, or was the  Advanced Intelligence (AI) of Star Trek days actually telling them to... 'Make it so!'?"

With that introduction, let me say that our June 18, 2025, episode of QB Talks will feature Kimberly Noh and Heather Satterley joining me (Murph) to discuss the Scaling New Heights conference. We will focus on the event's proactive responses to the rapidly changing accounting profession. Woodard's Heather Satterley will share with us information about this year's Main Stage presentations and special events, like 'walking tours' of the Exhibit Hall. 

Guest Co-host Kim Noh will join Heather to discuss the importance of building peer bonds and finding the right track to support your learning requirements. Kim will then dive deeper into the various educational opportunities and instructors and let you know how she chooses the best sessions to attend.

Kim and I  will briefly discuss how the sessions and sponsors have evolved over the years. Then, it's my turn to look at the sponsor categories exhibiting,  and where some of this year's first-time sponsors are located on the exhibit floor.
