Intuit Seeks Beta Testers for Intuit 'Accountant Suite'

Intuit is seeking βeta testers for the next generation of QuickBooks Online Accountant which they are calling Intuit Accountant Suite. While we know very little about the product yet, my suspicion is that it will be more like "the new QBO" and "Intuit Enterprise Suite" than it will be like "the Old QBO-Accountant and Desktop Accountant."

During the Beta testing, QBO-Accountant users will be able to toggle between the current version of QBO-Accountant and the Beta version of Intuit Accountant Suite. Some of the highlights of this new tool for accountant are "Unique Dashboards for every Team Member," "enhanced performance even with multiple clients and multiple team members."

As with the new QBO, Intuit Accountant Suite will have expanded Agentic-AI Agents performing tasks and functions for you as the accountant. Tools to help you 'close your client's books faster', tools for analysis of your client's books (financial trends, KPI deviations, anomaly detection.). Enhanced ways to keep your clients advised about their financial situations including enhanced data visualizations to help you be that 'financial advisor' to your clients.

In order to act as a Beta tester, the Primary Admin of the QuickBooks Online Accountant subscription my enroll the entire firm in the beta pilot program of Intuit Accountant Suite.

To switch to the new Intuit Accountant Suite experience:

  1. Go to Settings .
  2. Locate the "New Accountant Platform in Beta" Box(highlighted below in yellow).
  3. Select the Switch button.
  4. Fill out the required fields, then select Switch.

During the period when the Primary Admin has chosen to have the firm try the Beta functions of Intuit Accountant Suite, all team members will be using the new Beta product. Only the Primary Admin can switch the firm back from the testing version if that individual feels that the product or the firm isn't "ready for prime time."

To switch back to the previous QuickBooks Online Accountant. experience:

  1. Go to Settings .
  2. Select the Opt out button.
While the firm's Primary Admin can  switch back to QuickBooks Online Accountant at any time, once  multiple accounts have been consolidated in Intuit Accountant Suite, you can’t separate them if you return to QuickBooks Online Accountant.
