Chomps takes Bite out of Growth Barriers using NetSuite
Chomps, a leading snack brand known for its high-quality meat sticks, is using Oracle NetSuite to support its mission of delivering convenient and accessible snacks made with real ingredients. With NetSuite’s unified business management suite, Chomps has been able to increase the speed and accuracy of financial processes, maximize visibility across its business, and establish a scalable foundation to support its continued growth.
Founded by Pete Maldonado and Rashid Ali in 2012, Chomps has experienced rapid growth and has been recognized on the Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America for eight consecutive years. Starting as a direct-to-consumer brand, Chomps is now available in more than 30,000 retail locations, including Trader Joe’s, Costco, Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, Kroger, and Sprouts. To keep pace with its expansion, reduce manual processes, and streamline operations across its retail partners, Chomps needed an integrated and scalable business system. After careful evaluation, Chomps selected NetSuite as its new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
“NetSuite has been an important part of enhancing financial and operational execution for Chomps,” said Timothy Bosslet, chief financial officer, Chomps. “By streamlining financial processes and integrating workflows with NetSuite, our team can focus more on strategy and growth. NetSuite is enabling us to grow efficiently while maintaining tight oversight over our operations.”
With NetSuite, Chomps has been able to efficiently scale its business to meet increasing customer demand. By leveraging NetSuite’s financial management capabilities for accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and general ledger processes, Chomps has been able to close its books faster and more accurately.
To further increase the speed and accuracy of its core operations, Chomps is taking advantage of NetSuite’s inventory management and transactional reporting capabilities to monitor stock levels, optimize fulfillment, and ensure product availability. In addition, with NetSuite SuiteScript, Chomps has built custom solutions to monitor prices, calculate weights from purchase orders, and automate add-on data such as expiration dates required for electronic data interchange (EDI) reporting. Chomps works closely with NetSuite partners to connect workflows across all its business systems to create a single source of truth within NetSuite.
“Chomps’ success underscores the value of a unified business system that adapts to evolving needs,” said Sam Levy, senior vice president of growth strategy and execution, Oracle NetSuite. “NetSuite gives Chomps the visibility to anticipate demand, while enabling it to respond quickly to new opportunities and efficiently scale its operations. As Chomps continues to expand, NetSuite will also help it capitalize on the latest advancements in cloud to remain competitive and agile.”
Murph says, "Next time you're needing a chew, try a 'Chomps', a healthy protein snack without any sugar... yummy in so many flavors. They kept me going during SuiteWorld."
