The 2026 Top Advisor Awards encompass four award groups: the Top 100 U.S. ProAdvisors, the Top 25 Up-n-coming ProAdvisors, the Top 50 International ProAdvisors, and the newest group, the Top 25 Tax Advisors. The qualifications for each of these groups for the 2026 awards period are listed below.
U.S. Top 100 ProAdvisors and Top 25 Up-n-coming ProAdvisors
These two ProAdvisor award groups are open only to Certified ProAdvisors residing in the United States of America (or its territories).
ProAdvisors residing outside the U.S. (or its territories) are ineligible for these awards, even when holding U.S. ProAdvisor Certification (they should apply for the International awards).
All U.S. ProAdvisor applicants must actively practice as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor® and, in so doing, support or provide services to one or more actual clients using QuickBooks® Online, Desktop, Ledger, Intuit Enterprise Suite, or via QuickBooks® Live (Assist, Priority, or Full Service).
U.S. ProAdvisor applicants must hold at least one of the following three Intuit (U.S.) QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certifications: QuickBooks Online Level 1, QuickBooks Online Level 2, or QuickBooks Desktop. Such certifications must have a current date of issue no older than November 1, 2024. Recertification since such date also qualifies.
Top 50 International ProAdvisors
International ProAdvisors must reside in a country other than the United States of America (or its territories).
All International ProAdvisor applicants must actively practice as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor®or QuickBooks Professional and, in so doing, support or provide services to one or more actual clients using an Intuit QuickBooks® product.
International ProAdvisor applicants must hold Intuit Certified ProAdvisor status or the equivalent* for their country or a country within their Intuit Global Region. Such equivalent certification may include, but not be limited to, the QuickBooks Online (Global) Accountant Certification. Alternatively, International ProAdvisors can possess a certification from any country where Intuit issues certification(s), including the United States; however, a U.S. certification does not qualify an International ProAdvisor (by residence) to participate in the U.S. ProAdvisor Awards (limited to U.S. residents only).
Top 25 Tax Advisors
For 2026, Tax Advisors must reside in the United States of America (or its territories).
Tax Advisors residing outside the U.S. (or its territories) are ineligible for these awards, even when holding U.S. Certification(s). (In future years, the tax advisor group could be expanded to include tax professionals outside of the United States).
This group is available to QuickBooks ProAdvisors and Non-ProAdvisors who meet the eligibility criteria. As with ProAdvisors, a certification is required. That certification is the “Tax Level 1” certification offered through the Intuit Academy.
Tax Advisor applicants must also support tax clients using Intuit tax products, or via TurboTax Live or Intuit's Live Expert Tax.
Additional training (and certifications) via the Intuit Academy or other tax training resources can bolster a Tax Advisor’s score and ranking within their formal application.
