2024 International ProAdvisor Awards Process Extended

Calling ALL International QuickBooks ProAdvisors, we want to invite you to participate in the 2024 Awards Process.

In order to maximize participation by International ProAdvisors, Insightful Accountant is extending the associated deadlines for 2024 International ProAdvisor Award nominations and applications.  This change has NO impact on the 2024 Domestic (US & its territories) ProAdvisor Awards deadlines.

This year, for the first time, Insightful Accountant will recognize as many as 50 International ProAdvisors from around the globe. We will also recognize the International ProAdvisor of the Year for 2024.

International ProAdvisor Qualifications

To be considered for these awards, and go through the awards process International ProAdvisors must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • International participants (countries outside of the United States and its possessions): Regardless of the country in which they reside, International ProAdvisors must hold Intuit QuickBooks ProAdvisor status or the equivalent* (such as Intuit QuickBooks Accountant status) for their country, a country within their Intuit (AMER, EMEA, APAC or Global) Region, or have a current ProAdvisor Certification issued from any country where Intuit issues actual QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification.
  • Client Practice Required: All nominees must actively practice as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor/Professional with one or more actual clients using QuickBooks (Online or Desktop), regardless of the country in which they reside. Individuals providing staff services without actual client interactions in rendering services using QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) are not eligible for these awards.
Revised Nomination Process for 2024

Insightful Accountant changed the 2024 process so nominees don't have to wait to be notified of their nomination or to begin their formal application. The main points of this year's changes detailed in the nomination and application forms are summarized below:

  1. When a ProAdvisor is nominated by a fellow ProAdvisor they are immediately notified of their nomination via the email provided by the individual nominating them. A link is provided to their formal application. (There will be no notification to nominees other than the automated email.)
  2. When a ProAdvisors begins to nominate themselves they are immediately redirected to their formal application form. Once the ProAdvisor completes page 1 of the form, they can 'come and go' (close & re-open) the formal application. An email containing a URL to their personal application will be sent the first time the ProAdvisor closes the application form.
  3. The new Formal Application includes automatic determinations of eligibility based on the minimum criteria for domestic and international applicants as set forth above. (The information and documentation you provide self-validates your eligibility to continue within the process and disqualification information will flash on screen, also providing instructions how a ProAdvisor can resolve the reason(s) for their disqualification.) Part of this new screening process requires all US candidates to upload their current QuickBooks 'certificate' to be eligible to continue. Applicants are limited to a single application form based on their email and IP address.
Extended Timeline for International ProAdvisors

Nomination by Someone Other than Yourself:

1) If you are nominating an International ProAdvisor (other than yourself) you will need essential contact information such as the name, address, Email, phone and ProAdvisor status for anyone you are nominating.

2) Nominations of International ProAdvisors (outside the United States and its territories) by any individual other than the actual ProAdvisor will be accepted only through 12:59:59 PM Pacific-time on March 5, 2024.

3) Nominees (made by another individual) will be notified using the Email address the nominating individual provides within 12 hours of receipt of that nomination.  Nominees will be required to complete their Formal Application (self-assessment form) by the date(s) specified in the formal application.

Self-Nominations:

If you are an International ProAdvisor nominating yourself, our new nomination and application processes are quite thorough; however you have the ability to 'come and go' in order to find information required within the application form.

1) When nominating yourself, the nomination form automatically redirects you to Your Formal Application form for you to complete. You will need information about your personal history, your practice characteristics, your training, certifications and your interaction with the most commonly used apps.  You will be able to 'close and reopen' (using the instructions in the Application form) if you are not able to provide all of the information at one time.

2) Self-nominations Applications for International ProAdvisors (all ProAdvisors outside the U.S. and its territories) for the 2024 Awards period will close March 31, 2024 at 23:59:59 Pacific Time (unless otherwise published within Insightful Accountant).

Nominees meeting the minimum qualifications for International ProAdvisors will be notified no later than 10 days following the application closing date regarding the voting phase of the selection process.

See the official Nomination or Application Form instructions for more information.

Footnotes

*-country equivalency is based upon the offerings Intuit makes available for Accountants, Bookkeepers, and Business Advisors within each country or Intuit Region. For example, in a country like South Africa, even though Accountants can sign up to become ProAdvisors to access QBO-Accountant, it doesn't offer (at the time this disclosure was written) QuickBooks' ProAdvisor Certification' but does offer QuickBooks Online Accountant Certification and various supporting courses.

** - Insightful Accountant actively monitors such available offerings during the nomination and application process to determine candidate qualification and equivalency and will always coordinate with Intuit officials and the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program should questions arise.
