Intuit recently released QuickBooks 2022 Desktop. The Author has been evaluating various pre-release versions of these products for almost a year and has spent hours communicating with Intuit personnel, including product managers and developers, so we can help you learn about the new products. This article is one in a series of individual product features intended to provide additional content to that found in our QuickBooks Desktop 2022 Product Summary.
Select Multiple Email Contacts (which may be called Choose multiple email customer contacts at the time of release) allows users to select from multiple email addresses of a Customer, Vendor, or Employee. The ability to choose various emails prevents you from changing the primary Email if you're contacting different people. In addition, QuickBooks allows you to select emails from a drop-down of all the emails associated with the recipients every time you email them. You can also add, edit or delete email addresses from their email forms with ease.
This new functionality will be available to all QuickBooks Desktop 2022 users, including Pro Plus, Premier Plus, QuickBooks Desktop Accountant, and all QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Solutions (v22.0) versions in the United States.
This feature relies primarily upon the emails you set up in the customer, vendor, or employee record, including the Main, CC, Alt 1, and Alt 2 email fields. These Emails will appear in a drop-down to speed up Email address selection when choosing multiple Emails if they have been configured ahead of time (as shown in the example below).
Many times, you send out multiple emails simultaneously, but you may need to send some emails to multiple recipients as well. The new select multiple Email feature meets this requirement as well.
