This Monday Minute looks at two new tax-related trainings available within the Intuit ProAdvisor Academy's Intuit Accountant Suite training.
While QuickBooks Online Accountant has had the ability to connect with ProConnect Tax to essentially synchronize a Client's QuickBooks data to that tax program, Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS) has been designed to integrate ProConnect tax directly inside IAS.
Two great examples of this integration are the ProConnect Tax Prep feature within IAS that allows IAS users (with the appropriate permissions) to create and manage tax preparation workflows directly within ProConnect Tax. Another is the ability to view valuable tax insights for your ProConnect tax clients from a dashboard inside IAS.
To help facilitate familiarity with these two IAS/ProConnect-tax features, Intuit has just launched two new training courses within the ProAdvisor Academy accessible from IAS (or still accessible from QBO-Accountant), These two courses are:
Tax prep for Intuit Accountant Suite which teaches you IAS users (with the proper permissions) can create and manage tax preparation workflows within the integrated ProConnect Tax - Intuit Accountant Suite interface, and
Tax client insights in Intuit Accountant Suite which teaches how ProConnect Tax powered client insights provided within Intuit Accountant Suite help IAS users (with the proper permissions) can explore their client's tax data and spot tax advisory opportunities.
Both of these courses are designed to help 'Tax Advisors' (and Preparers) see the value of using Intuit Accountant Suite as their central point of access for their ProConnect Tax clients and recognize the increased value of the level of integration with ProConnect Tax that IAS provides.
One tip from Murph here..."if I were thinking about improving my odds to be recognized for the 2027 Top 'Tax Advisor' list, I would certainly think that achieving 'completion status' of these two new courses would be of significant benefit." To access these courses, log in to Intuit Accountant Suite (or QBO-Accountant if you are still, for some unknown reason using it), find ProAdvisor in the left-hand navigation bar. select Training under ProAdvisor, choose Start Training, when Intuit ProAdvisor Academy opens, select the Learn Tab, use the left-hand filters and choose Topic, then select Intuit Accountant Suite and you will find both courses under Self-paced training as shown in the image below.
