Intuit's Accounting Futures Program's new Industry Advisors

Written by William Murphy | Oct 8, 2026, 5:15:00 AM

Intuit has just unveiled their first group of Intuit Industry Advisors as part of its Accounting Futures Program to nurture the next generation of accountants.

Intuit recognizes that the talent pipeline is one of the most pressing threats to the accounting industry. Fewer students are pursuing accounting-focused careers and those graduating with traditional degrees are entering the workforce with experience in traditional bookkeeping and compliance, but unprepared for the shift toward client advisory services (CAS).

In fact, according to the 2026 Intuit Accountant Technology Survey, 56% of accounting firms say new hires are now taking more than six months to get up to speed. To tackle this issue, Intuit now offers a dedicated group of industry advisors to serve as guest lecturers, mentors, and professional resources to students who are taking part in any aspect of the Accounting Futures Program.

This tight-knit cohort of 28 Intuit Industry Advisors will work to build a solid foundational basis of knowledge for students, give back to the accounting community, and help shape the future of the industry. The Intuit Industry Advisors will aim to give students the confidence they require to discover the rewarding accounting careers that go far beyond tax and audit.

Intuit launched the Accounting Futures Program as part of their new Career Pipeline Initiative, bringing CAS curriculum and technical training into the classroom to connect industry practitioners directly with students, giving them real-world insight and guidance.
