Intuit Intelligence Now Offers Done for You Workflows

Written by William Murphy | Aug 4, 2026, 4:45:00 AM

I am finding some of the newest enhancements made to Intuit's QuickBooks Platform to be time saving and stress relieving by preventing the need to perform routine and mundane 'chores.'

I'm also seeing that the more of these little chores AI performs for me can mount up from a few minutes to hours over time. In other words, I might be able to save myself an hour out of my 196-hour week.

Until now, AI conversational workflows in QuickBooks have allowed you to:

  • Interact with QuickBooks via chat for back-and-forth conversations with history.

  • Retrieve, summarize, or analyze files through the chat interface.

  • Ask data-related questions about KPIs and reports.

  • Search and filter transactional records or lists using conversational search.

  • Brainstorm business ideas and solve problems based on your financial data.

  • Build or customize reports with specific filters and date ranges via chat.

  • Perform root cause analysis to understand changes in financial metrics.

  • (For Advanced users) Generate AI-written executive summaries for Management Reports.

These workflows have enhanced data access, reporting, and decision-making without navigating complex menus.

But now, conversational AI can do much more, Intuit has incorporated "done-for-you" workflows for web and mobile subscribers using QuickBooks Online, Intuit Accountant Suite, and Intuit Enterprise Suite 1 .

Users can access this feature from the top navigation in QuickBooks Online, Intuit Enterprise Suite, and Intuit Accountant Suite via the Intuit Intelligence icon.

These new workflows include:

  • Setup tasks, including connecting a bank, fixing a connection error, or adding an account to the chart of accounts.

  • Accounting anomaly detection that identifies inconsistencies within accounts or transactional classifications.

  • Creating PDF reports for export including CSV files based on user instructions.

  • Generating invoices, expenses, and bill transactions.

  • Running payroll.

The update also encompasses enhanced accountant handoff with more prominent placement, chat, and transcript summarization.

Look at these steps to set-up a new COA:

(1) Click on the Intuit Intelligence Icon.

(2) When Intuit Intelligence opens and asks you what it can do you, just tell it to create a specific type of account in your chart-of-accounts and what to call it.

(3) After Intuit Intelligence interprets your request, it will give you any necessary additional information needed to perform your prompt. If all is good, it will ask you to go ahead and authorize the creation of the new Account.

(4) Now head over to your COA and see your new Account that has been set up just as you instructed.

In the case below, the user prompts Intuit Intelligence to create a Customer Invoice.

As you can see, Intuit Intelligence created the new Invoice and presented it for your review.

This feature can likely improve any number of interactions you and your clients have with QuickBooks by providing actionable insights, clearer recommendations, and workflows accomplished at "the speed of AI".
