Get To Know Zoho

I spent most of Labor Day week in Utah for some fun and some work thanks to the Val Steed and the team at Zoho.  I'm not saying that work is not fun, but I enjoy fly fishing and Utah has some of the best waters in the country, if not the world (according to all of the Utah tourism websites) 😜, so this trip was a great blend of both.    Zoho hosted their Zoho Balance event in Salt Lake City on September 4 and 5 and I was honored to be on the invite list with some long -time friends and new acquaintances from the profession, including several of Insightful Accountant's Top 100 ProAdvisors and Awards winners.  Since I was in Utah for the event, I had to take some time to fish 🎣while I was there, and neither the fun, nor the work disappointed!

The purpose of the event was for people to "Get To Know Zoho", according to Prashant Ganti, VP Global Strategy and Alliances, Enterprise Finance Suite and Sivaramakrishnan Iswaran, Global Head - Finance & Operations Suite.

If you’re an accounting professional seeking a technology stack designed for operational flexibility, scalability, and global impact, it’s time to take a closer look at Zoho and the Zoho One platform. While the accounting profession continues to demand more integrated solutions and better ways to serve clients, Zoho stands out as a comprehensive solution for firms and businesses of nearly any size.

A Unified Platform Powering Success

Zoho One is not just an app suite—it’s an integrated operating system for your entire business or firm. With over 45+ applications included, Zoho One covers core business functions: customer relationship management, invoicing, expense management, practice management, accounting (via Zoho Books), HR, analytics, project management, workflow automation, and more. For accounting professionals, this represents more than just an alternative to legacy software—it’s a complete ecosystem that reduces data silos and manual steps, while enabling advisory potential.

Key Applications for Accountants

Zoho Books:  A full-featured accounting solution built for compliance and client collaboration. It automates workflows, supports multiple currencies, and offers real-time reporting functionality.

Zoho Expense: Fully integrated expense management with automated claim processing and policy compliance—ideal for firms streamlining billable workflows or managing distributed teams.

Zoho Invoice: Create, track, and get paid faster with customizable invoicing and payment integration—whether you’re serving SMBs or scaling client advisory services.

Configurable for Your Entire Client Base

A core strength of Zoho One is the platform’s versatility—it adapts to solopreneurs, multi-partner firms, and international organizations. The suite pairs out-of-the-box integrations with deep customization: use webhooks, workflow rules, and no-code/low-code automation to build tailored practices and client-facing apps. With a centralized admin panel and unified billing, onboarding and day-to-day management become truly efficient.

Built for Global Ambition—With Values at the Core

What sets Zoho apart from most technology vendors is its corporate DNA: the company is privately held, debt-free, and profitable. Free from quarterly market pressure, Zoho reinvests in product development, customer support, and—most notably—empowering people first. Their philanthropic mindset shows in a commitment to workforce training, community stewardship, and affordable pricing models that expand access while driving innovation.

Why Should Accountants Care?
