New Apps For QuickBooks | QB Talks Apps

QB Talks 59 min William "Murph" Murphy

QBTalks-Apps is a monthly webinar series where each session explores different apps and tools that integrate with QuickBooks. In this session, host William “Murph” Murphy reviewed several new and rising apps across multiple categories. He highlighted what each app does, who it is best suited for, along with practical pros, potential limitations, and key considerations for firms exploring newer QuickBooks-connected solutions. Apps covered in this session include: 🔧 Contractor Foreman (Construction Management) A job and project management platform built for contractors with strong field and mobile functionality, tiered pricing, and a QuickBooks Online focus. Murph noted that it no longer supports QuickBooks Desktop and now works exclusively with QuickBooks Online. 🤖 AI Growth Advisor “Audie” by Automate (AI Business Insights) An AI tool that connects to QuickBooks and other platforms to surface key metrics for leadership roles, provide scorecards, and suggest strategies and action templates. Murph also discussed the common AI tradeoffs, including lack of human context and the risk of over-reliance. 🧹 Bulk Deleter by SaasAnt Transactions (QBO Cleanup Tool) A utility designed to remove large volumes of data in QuickBooks Online to help clean up errors or reset a messy file. Murph demonstrated the tool live and emphasized that bulk deletes are powerful but irreversible if used incorrectly. 📊 AppVentory (App Visibility, Compliance & Security) A platform that scans systems to identify installed apps and software, how they are used, and what they cost. Murph highlighted how firms can use AppVentory to reduce unnecessary subscriptions, improve security, and uncover advisory opportunities for clients. 📦 Precoro (Procurement & Purchasing Controls) A purchasing and procurement platform that centralizes requisitions, approvals, purchase orders, budgets, and invoice matching. Murph pointed out that it delivers workflow and control features often found in larger ERP systems. 🛒 Taxomate (Ecommerce Connector) A connector for platforms like Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, Walmart, and other marketplaces that pulls payout data, categorizes transactions, and syncs summarized entries into QuickBooks Online. Murph highlighted its quick setup, reliable reconciliation, and competitive pricing. Coming up next: Murph previewed the upcoming QB Talks session on March 18 with Gregg Bossen, CPA, focused on practical tips for firms working with nonprofit clients, along with a QuickBooks Payroll session scheduled for April 1.
