Another Piece of the Accounting Puzzle - Puzzle.io

While attending Scaling New Heights, I was "puzzled to find" that I hadn't already explored 'Puzzle', an AI-native general ledger designed to save time, improve accuracy, and generate financial insights.  As part of my attempt to "solve this puzzle" I had the opportunity to interview Sasha Orloff, Co-founder and CEO of Puzzle.  That interview, and my subsequent review of the information at the Puzzle exhibit booth and website has contributed to this feature.

This is not a formal 'first look' or 'app aware' as it does not contain information directly submitted by the developer; rather this is just an informational feature designed to make our readership aware of this evolving accounting solution.

By the way, Scaling New Heights, a proud sponsor of the "2026 Top Advisor Awards", will return to Orlando, Florida next year, June 14 through 17, 2026.

This simple-to-use interface is designed in such a way as to attract those looking for an alternative to "you know who." It takes only minutes to configure your Puzzle.

Puzzle offers both cash and accrual accounting automatically, eliminating the need to keep accrual entries in a separate spreadsheet or file.

Everywhere you look, artificial intelligence is providing automation to reduce or eliminate tedious, repetitive tasks. You set up rules, policies, and workflows that you want the AI to follow, and it then goes about monitoring your financial records to look for potential errors so they can be corrected before they turn into major headaches.

Part of this AI interface is geared toward helping you "look down the road" at what's coming your way by examining "where you've been." It's like my recent road trip; my map program built a route, and then the next thing I knew, it was adjusting me to a different road, some 35 miles ahead of an accident on the highway that I hadn't even noticed, with traffic backing up from it. Sure enough, about 5 miles further, I could see that the original road was almost at a standstill for the next 30 miles, while I was breezing by the entire thing on an alternate path.

Sometimes our finances and business journey are like that. We plan a path based on what we know, and we think everything is going to be okay, but the reality is that subtle hints in our history can reveal things we don't even know exist and use them to predict one or more futures that may not align with our ideas. It doesn't mean that we have to take those alternate pathways, but we should at least be given the option of 'a different route' without congestion and delays in our business success.

That's one of the things AI Actionable Insights are good for: showing us alternative routes, allowing us to make our own choices based on information we otherwise couldn't gather for ourselves.

With financial insights like cash, burn, runway, ARR/MRR, spending, and revenue insights, and cash monitoring, you won't find that you are suddenly stopped in your tracks with miles of traffic in the business route ahead of you. You will have the opportunity to make one or more of the recommended detours to stay on schedule and ahead of the competition.

If you are struggling with your current accounting software, unhappy with its direction, uncertain about its longevity, or concerned about the cost of renewing your subscription, then perhaps it's time to explore an alternative route for your financial recordkeeping.

Puzzle might just be that "last piece of the puzzle" you've been looking for to making your business a success.
