We reminded you of this in our article on May 1st, QuickBooks Payroll is really a Workforce Solutions Platform. I'm not sure how much clearer we could make it.
Sure enough, my crystal ball came through once again since Intuit has just announced that Intuit QuickBooks has now launched their end-to-end HCM solution called.... (drum roll please)... QuickBooks Workforce. This release marks the largest evolution in Intuit’s HCM capabilities since QuickBooks Online launched 25 years ago, providing small and mid-market businesses with a comprehensive, AI-powered workforce hub that streamlines workflows while offering a seamless employee experience that supports engagement and growth.
Building on the success of Intuit’s recent acquisition of GoCo, QuickBooks Workforce simplifies and syncs every facet of workforce management, including payroll, time tracking, benefits, recruiting, hiring, performance, and compliance. Integrated across QuickBooks Online, QBO-Advanced and Intuit Enterprise Suite, these tools sit within the same system where businesses already manage their accounting, payments, and lending, providing real-time insights that empower businesses to operate faster, and with greater accuracy and confidence. QuickBooks Workforce is powered by agentic AI automations paired with human expertise through Intuit Intelligence.
Small and mid-market businesses often rely on an average of 7-25 different business apps that create manual work and fragmented data, spending an estimated $120,000 per year on software. QuickBooks Workforce directly addresses this challenge, equipping businesses with a robust HCM solution, that’s also powered by agentic AI automations through Intuit Intelligence. This transforms HCM from a series of manual steps into intelligent, done-for-you workflows utilizing virtual AI agents, like the Payroll Agent which proactively collects and validates data to empower faster decision-making and offer a seamless, on-the-go experience.
As workforce management shifts from a clerical task to a strategic priority, Intuit's new QuickBooks Workforce solution is designed to solve administrative payroll bottlenecks from hire to retire, allowing firms to manage hundreds of employees with the same agility and precision as a small team.
QuickBooks Workforce will offer three dynamic tiers that build on the success of QuickBooks Payroll, which is used to pay 18 million workers in the U.S., making it the country’s #1 payroll provider for small businesses. With the core capabilities of QuickBooks Payroll now combined with a new, comprehensive and robust HCM feature set, driven by the integration of GoCo's HCM technology QuickBooks Workforce ensures that businesses can manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, whether they’re building a small team or managing hundreds of team members.
Three New Tiers for QuickBooks Workforce:
QuickBooks Workforce will be generally available to all eligible QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Advanced, and Intuit Enterprise Suite customers in the U.S. in the next few weeks. Customers currently subscribed to QuickBooks Payroll will gain automatic access to the new HCM features in QuickBooks Workforce based on their corresponding subscription tier. Existing customers not currently using QuickBooks Payroll will be able to add QuickBooks Workforce to their existing subscriptions. You can learn more about QuickBooks Workforce HERE.
