Intuit recently announced a multi-year, strategic partnership with OpenAI to create the future of Financial Intelligence by bringing together leading platforms to deliver personalized and actionable financial insights and recommendations with Intuit-powered apps in ChatGPT.
Their partnership with OpenAI builds on Intuit’s decade-long investment in data and AI, along with deep domain financial technology expertise, further expanding how Intuit is delivering personalized, AI-driven experiences to customers with speed and scale. Intuit’s robust data, AI and human intelligence capabilities are foundational to the company’s success as an industry leader, fueling the financial success of consumers and businesses.
With Intuit’s consumer and business apps now available in ChatGPT, customers can unlock the power of Intuit’s AI-driven expert platform and get personalized financial insights and recommendations they can seamlessly act on using right in ChatGPT. Intuit continues to own the customer relationships and their proprietary data, and the accuracy, compliance, security and privacy of Intuit’s insights are all delivered within their platform. After customers securely connect their data, Intuit will selectively apply user data at the user’s request to power trusted, accurate responses in ChatGPT when a user is logged into their Intuit account. Intuit’s customers’ data stays within the Intuit apps and isn’t used to train foundation models.
“The power of Intuit’s proprietary customer data, AI and credit models, knowledge graphs, and domain expertise combined with OpenAI’s scale and frontier models now give consumers and businesses the financial advantage they need to prosper,” said Alex Balazs, chief technology officer of Intuit. “Whether you’re a consumer looking for a better loan or estimating a tax refund, or a business owner looking to improve cash flow or trying to find new customers, Intuit’s apps in ChatGPT will give people personalized insights to fuel their financial success, all while keeping their data safe and secure.”
The Intuit QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mailchimp and Credit Karma apps in ChatGPT are live for all logged-in ChatGPT Free, Plus and Pro accounts, available for both web and mobile in the US.
Through the QuickBooks app in ChatGPT, businesses can analyze key metrics—such as profitability, cash flow, and industry benchmarks—using their raw financial data or existing QuickBooks accounts. They can also generate essential reports, including profit and loss and cash flow statements, to stay informed as they grow.
The TurboTax app in ChatGPT simplifies taxes by turning complex questions into clear answers and quick actions. Customers get real‑time tax estimates and refund projections using Intuit’s trusted calculation engine through an easy, conversational interface. They can also schedule sessions with local tax experts, ensuring accurate guidance and expert‑led support within TurboTax.
The Mailchimp app in ChatGPT helps businesses quickly develop ideas and execute coordinated multichannel marketing campaigns. With Omnichannel Marketing Strategies, marketers can create data‑driven plans and content informed by Mailchimp’s data, optimized for channels like SMS, email, and social media, including recommended send times and audience segments.
The Credit Karma app in ChatGPT gives members instant access to financial guidance, credit coaching, and personalized offers based on their real financial profiles. It provides clear steps to improve credit health and enables members to shop confidently for credit cards and loans they’re more likely to be approved for—reducing declines caused by untailored offers.
All of Intuit’s products, including their AI-powered platform innovations, are built with their strong commitment to data privacy, security, and responsible AI governance. With customers’ permission, Intuit selectively applies a user’s data to power trusted, high-quality responses in ChatGPT. Intuit also implements technical and organizational safeguards to help protect customer data and protect privacy using industry-leading technology and practices.
