Intuit Bank Feeds Experience Transitions May 8, 2026

Written by The Publisher and Editors of Insightful Accountant | Feb 24, 2026 6:00:00 PM

Effective May 8, 2026, the AI-powered bank feed experience will be the standard for all QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online Accountant users, and the temporary opt-out option will no longer be available.

This AI-powered interface is designed to help save you and your clients time, reducing clicks, and managing transactions with less manual effort.

Since the initial launch, we've addressed your feedback by improving speed by over 50% for common actions, enabling background processing that lets you continue working while rows post, and retaining all previous functionality.

Additional Time-Savers:

  • AI-Powered Suggestions: Get automatic supplier name and transaction category suggestions, even when bank descriptions are unclear, based on your history.

  • Inline Editing & Details: Select suppliers, categories, and classes directly within the bank feed, and hover to quickly reveal full bank details.

  • Payee Warnings: Optional new setting to warn you (and your client) when a transaction is posted from the bank feed without a payee.

  • Drag-and-Drop: Quickly drag and drop attachments onto transactions.

  • Requests (secure context collection): Ask the right client/team member for transaction details in a secure portal (private-by-default assignment), with automated follow-ups and a built-in audit trail so answers and attachments stay tied to each transaction, reducing the back-and-forth and accelerating the close process.
