Ready to Review is Thomson Reuters new cloud-based, agentic AI tax workflow solution built on CoCounsel to prepare 1040 tax returns.

The newest innovations from Thomson Reuters expand the company’s agentic AI capabilities to automate routine tasks, increase efficiency, and free professionals to focus on higher-value advisory work , while re-imagining how accounting professionals handle tax preparation, and audit engagements.

For tax year 2025, Ready to Review will modernize 1040 tax return preparation by taking on the heavy, repetitive work of gathering client documents and preparing returns, so tax professionals can focus on problem solving, critical thinking, and delivering great counsel to clients. With Ready to Review's Agentic AI deeply embedded into tax workflows, Thomson Reuters is helping to take on the heavy responsibilities of more complex returns, tighter deadlines, and the pressures of a busy tax season.

With the ability to perform the manual, time-consuming tasks that restrict tax professionals, firms can handle higher volumes during peak season while maintaining accuracy and quality. Ready to Review is now generally available in the United States for 1040 use cases, and its launch marks an important milestone in Thomson Reuters' broader journey with agentic AI on the CoCounsel Tax platform.

Ready to Review is one more way Thomson Reuters is helping firms modernize in a way that is practical, grounded, and built for the realities of tax season.
